I'll point out that the only thing I did to temporarily resolve the issue was uninstall and reinstall so the same things were running on my phone all the time (no change in RAM usage) that being said I highly doubt it's a RAM issue. I did not try rebooting the phone as others suggested but I will, definitely easier than uninstalling / reinstalling and re-syncing. This worked the first time I did it but only lasted a day, so I repeated the steps and it worked again for another day so I thought well, they just want you to buy the pro version and probably have something built in so I purchased the pro version after uninstalling / reinstalling and re-syncing and it worked for 2 days but is now back to not sounding any alarms at all ever no matter what. My first attempt at a resolution was to uninstall the app from my phone, re-install it then re-sync it with the PC's Calendar.

I use the PC Pro version on my computer so I sync it's calendar to my smart phone LG. When I first installed EPIM it worked fine for a month or so, then the alarms stopped sounding altogether. I've read through most of the other posts.

Would it be possible to gain higher priorities in the system with the android menù entry Settings->Security->Device Administrators? I know that some programs use this menu to gain special rights. Of course the stock HTC calendar app works perfectly everytime.Ĭan you fix it? I really like EssentialPIM (especially the desktop sync and encryption) but I need it to be reliable! I expected it to works as I told you on 26 April message but it failed! Reminder sounded several minutes too late! It seems that when I reboot sometimes it works (just for a while.) but sometimes doesn't work at all! It's a random situation. So I rebooted again and I tried again EssentialPIM. I tried EssentialPIM and it fails too to sound on time. However I rebooted and I tried again but both aCalendar and Calendar+ fail to sound on time.

I've tried a couple third party software (aCalendar and Calendar+) and they both have same behaviour as EssentialPIM: their reminders sounds too late, several minutes after they were supposed! However there is no more menu entry for upgrading to Pro so I guess is working in Pro mode? Or maybe not? I have purchased the android Pro version but when I go to "Settings->About." sometimes its says "EssentialPIM Pro 3.0.5" but sometimes its says "EssentialPIM 3.0.5". In two other cases the alarm sounds 5 minutes later than it was set! Reminder set at 17.00, it sounds at 17.02 (smartphone's time of course).
In one case the alarm works with the screen off but is sounds 2 minutes later than it was set! E.g. There are problems with TO-DO reminders too. I also read two recent reviews (17 and 26 April) on Google Play complaining about missing reminders so seems that this problem is not uncommon. So the problem must be in Essential PIM Pro. If I turn on the screen (before the unlock) the alarm sounds but only if the event is still in the future (e.g. 10 minutes before) for a calendar event, the alarm doesn't work (no sound, no vibration and no led notification) when the smartphone is in stand-by with screen off! I have the 3.0.5 Pro version on a stock htc sensation with android 4.0.3.
